ColomboOur stores in Colombo

Sri Lanka is where our garments are made, so it is fitting that it is also where you can see them in person. Each Colombo location carries the core of the range — knitted polos, jumpers and everyday essentials in pure cotton — and each has its own page with directions and details.

Visiting in person has a particular logic with clothes like ours. A fully-fashioned knit polo reads as a subtle thing in photographs; the difference is in the hand-feel of the cotton, the way the collar sits, the weight of the fabric. Ten minutes in the Havelock City Mall flagship will tell you more than an hour of scrolling. That said, the entire range ships from our online store as well — more on that below.

If you would rather go straight to the product, the heart of the range is the men's polo shirt collection — the polos made here on the island — alongside knitted jumpers and cardigans for cooler evenings and travel.

"Made in Sri Lanka" appears on a remarkable share of the world's best garments, usually in small print no one reads. We print it with some pride. Sri Lanka's apparel industry is one of the most sophisticated anywhere — the island manufactures for global luxury and performance brands precisely because its knitting, dyeing and garment engineering are world class. Our position since 1997 has been simple: if the craftsmanship here is good enough for everyone else's labels, it is good enough to stand behind openly, under our own.

The design side of the partnership is London's. The brief for every collection — colour palettes that stay wearable for years, fits cut for real shoulders, details you notice on the third wearing rather than the first — is written in Britain and executed in Sri Lanka. This is also why a visit to our Colombo stores feels different from browsing an importer's rail. The garment on the hanger was made a short drive from where you are standing, by an industry that is part of the country's modern identity. Few clothing brands in Sri Lanka — and fewer luxury ones — can put design heritage and making heritage in the same sentence honestly.

A note on names, because search engines blur them. There is a separate, unrelated Sri Lankan clothing company that trades under a three-letter name very similar to our earlier one. We are not that company. Legacy London is the British–Sri Lankan label founded in 1997, with the stores listed above and the online range at this site. If you have seen both names and want the distinction laid out properly, we wrote it up in full:
